plant update #4 – moving to a new city

I moved! Again. Again again. This time to an *actually* more permanent place. I’ve moved 8 times since 2020!! My plants and cat are like… “this again?” and my dad even said I was an expert at moving, which made me laugh. But yeah. New place… let me show you around!

6pm mood lighting.

This is my living room, which has a lot of my big plants! The dragon tree I rescued from my old work (we’ll talk about my new job later) is much greener. The snake plant I got for my birthday is a lot taller.

They will be moved when the fireplace is on!!

I have a fireplace!! I’m so excited to use in the winter, I love starting a good fire.

Now let’s go upstairs!

I have a huge window in my bedroom, it’s south facing (thank gods) and I have my terrarium “Love, Persisting” in the windowsill along with these 3…

My grandma gifted me a cutting from her awesome Christmas cactus, and it’s already giving new growth. Then there’s my bear paw Hemingway, and Alejandro my amazing string of bananas.

I also have Marilyn, my prayer plant, who is currently flowering!

Finally, in the office lives a lot of my big plants.

Stuffing sniffing.

My monstera is looking a little sad but it’s giving me a new leaf so I’m not sure. Mixed signals for sure haha. I have a string of coins, which was a wish list plant for months until yesterday. Then my money plant is doing awesome, and one of my many pothos are great too. My grandma also gifted me the polka dot plant!! I’m super excited to have it.

My office space.

Next to my desk, I have my alocasia whom I love. It gave me 2 new leaves this past week.

I also have my monstera minima, who I got from a farmers market in my old city.

I’m super excited to continue my planty journey in my new home. I will be here for as long as possible!!
