getting vertical! – plant update #6

My plant journey is continuing ever onward. But this time we’re moving up, literally!

I got a new plant stand!

I’m very excited about it!! It’s got grow lights so that my plants can have a bit more growth than they would otherwise get.

On the top, I have a stromanthe that I’m not sure will survive. It’s getting some browning on the leaves. Next to it is my amazing alocasia, and then monstera minima. It’s getting very tall!!

My alocasia gave me a beautiful huge new leaf recently!

On the second row from the top, I have my philodendron black cardinal and (now getting big) pothos! She’s starting to trail around.

3rd row down I have a shamrock plant with flowers, hanging is my string of coins, and on the right is my pilea.

The pilea gave me a couple baby pileas that I repotted into a vessel I made from clay.

Finally, on the bottom I have a prayer plant and a philodendron micans.

In the window are Alejandro and Kingston II as well as my Christmas cactus in a new deer pot!

The snakes – yes I got snakie a friend – are downstairs and get lots of light during the evening.

And finally the downstairs sill plants have remained unchanged. My burros tail is getting really long!!

The terrariums are doing great!, including “Love, Persisting”.

I have one baby alocasia in the propagation station I got for Christmas. My big alocasia had it just sprouting at the bottom, so I took it out and I’m planning on repotting when it gets a bit bigger root system.

If you noticed, I sold my struggling monstera to someone who would take good care of it. Same with a couple others. Sometimes you just gotta know what’s working and what’s not to continue to grow!
