sticker book show and tell

I have been collecting stickers for a long time. At first it was on water bottles, I would cover them with stickers, and then get a new water bottle to use / collect new stickers on while displaying the old bottles. I had 2 bottles throughout high school, and then one as an adult, so 3 total! It was a slow process to collect the stickers because I wasn’t doing it actively, just whenever I happened to get one.

Now, I have a book. it has waxed paper so I can restick them, and it’s almost full. Here today I’m going to show you, reader, my sticker book.

Here is the cover and first page.

I started this book in January 2023. I got the one on the cover at one of my first dates with my boyfriend, we went to a spring farmers market in Longmont. I love cats and mushrooms, plus it’s holographic if you look closely.

The iDog… I had one with pink swirls on it when I was a kid. I would listen to the song Break My Stride on it over and over. The phantom (purple and black one at the top of the page) is from my childhood game Animal Jam.

Next I have a couple things from Hella Handmade Creations, which is a nail polish collaboration store that’s open once a month and filled with themed indie polishes. I have bought from them quite a few times! The woman next to the phantom tamagotchi is from Phoenix Indie Polish.

There’s a keroppi sticker that I got at an Asian supermarket with my boyfriend. I also remember getting some konpeito from there. Bf got a can of coffee.

This is by about June 2023, I can tell because we’re starting to get weed stickers because I turned 21 (haha). Also because I went to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo on a trip to Manitou Springs for my birthday!

I LOVE these SpongeBob stickers. Mostly because I love SpongeBob, but the art is really awesome. I also love the Punchy popsicle.

I subscribed to a sticker-of-the-month club, and got the star deer on the right as my first month. MECO Coffee Collective was really cool, they sold a bunch of local artists work there. The mushroom anatomy and wizard cat are local artists. All the froggy appliances I got from KiraKiraKaraCasa on Etsy!

Now we’re getting to my day trip to Nederland where I got the cutest pea sticker at a tiny grocery store. This is also the point of the book I made a big order from pipstickers, which is where most of the small decorative stickers are from in the coming pages.

Now we’re in July 2023. I went to DenFur and got a LOT of stickers there, the next few pages are from there.

A sparkledog is an unapologetically bright-colored character that every person who likes to make animal OCs (original characters) will make in their lifetime. It’s like a rite of passage. I had one in like middle school.

The blueberry cheesecake sticker is textured to be like sugar!

At DenFur, I didn’t know there was an “adult section”. I found it funny and got a free sticker from a booth, it was interesting.

Of course one booth was selling Blathers from animal crossing surrounded by bugs and I had to get it.

There was a trading panel I attended at the convention, where I got the ones on this page. I especially love the cicada sticker.

I had a keychain of the green skeleton weenie dog in middle school when I went to ComicCon for the first time, I have since lost it but I was so happy to find this sticker in around September 2023.

I had a coworker friend who had a small band called Lady Romeo. She made stickers to give out at the shows they’d play, I attended a show and got one. She has since moved away and has a different band she plays with.

I got a resin faux sea glass bird skull from Skullery, who also sells the stickers on the bottom right.

My boyfriend saw the “I’m a ray of fucking sunshine” one and said “that’s you!” So of course I have it now.

I loooove the little tigers and preserves jars.

I have a small nail polish account on Instagram, and that’s the only way I can think of that Pleasing, a beauty company by Harry Styles, found me and sent me a PR package of their nail polishes. They were all neon and sheer and so so fugly (sorry Harry) but they sent me a sticker too. That’s the part I kept.

This is still October 2023, I can tell because of the Anderson Farms sticker. I go there every year before Halloween to get a pumpkin and take a hay ride. I also remember my mom was visiting from New York and we went to Eldorado Canyon.

I remember most of the fall out boy stickers I have in this book (except for the one on the bottom left, that’s mine) are from a trade I did online. The Stardew valley ones on the right page are also mine.

Ah, November! This is when I went to CatFest with my boyfriend. I got a few cat themed stickers.

The pumpkin beetle is a contender for #1 favorite sticker from a visual (not sentimental) standpoint. It’s just so perfect.

Now we’re getting to December 2023, when I went to Florida for the first time as an adult. We went to all the keys, including Key West, and Fort Lauderdale. I also love the fruit stripe lava lamp!!

More Florida stickers.

I found the Moe’s Bakery sticker on the ground in a cafe and just took it haha. Georgie’s Coffee was a cute cafe on Sugarloaf Key, and their beagle was their mascot.

I had someone reach out to me from the company TravelStamps asking if they could send me some stickers that I pick out. I picked out a bunch of them, they gladly sent them (and more!!) in exchange for me telling them what I thought. They’re really awesome and informational stickers!

The rocket on the bottom right is made of the same reflective material as satellites.

This is when I went to Portland, Oregon in February 2024 to meet my online friend of 8ish years for the first time. We went to Powells Bookstore and she gave me some stickers, like the lily flower fawn and the ponies.

We also went to the cutest stationery shop in Vancouver, Washington right across the border where I got a snail mail sticker. Then we went to Gold Cup coffee, the cappuccinos were pretty!

Cambrian kids really do remember.

I went to a bunch of small shops in Lafayette, Colorado like Read Queen and Little Herbal Apothecary when it started getting warmer out, around April 2024.

I went on a hike with a friend and got the flowers of Colorado flag at the gift shop after! I love Croconana and own plushies of him so I have a sticker as well. My mom sent me a Niagara Falls sticker from when she went.

This is around June 2024, I remember I got the Route 51 and satanic church stickers at Pride Denver. My boyfriend took me to Buckhorn for my birthday and I ate elk medallions!

Now we’re in July, when DenFur was happening again. I got more stickers as expected but not as many.

I started school in August.

My boyfriend and I went leaf peeping in October, where we went through Buena Vista and Twin Lakes.

In October I went to the oddities and curiosities expo!! I got some weird stuff like a black duckling taxidermy. I had one before in high school, but Stuffing got to it and ate it. This one will be kept out of his reach.

This is the last page so far. I went back to Florida in December again and only got 3 stickers this time.

That was a LOT, and I’m going to keep going!
