What personal belongings do you hold most dear?
My plants are extremely important to me, for my mental health especially. I have a handful of them, and their presence greatly decreases my depression symptoms. Being able to take care of something is really nice, along with my cat, but the main thing is that they’re so green. I get really depressed in the winter when everything is dead, brown and beige. Having ever-green houseplants makes this better, at least a little bit, because it’s a reminder that things are still okay even though it’s a sad time.
On to the plant update! I acquired a few new ones, and moved around some current ones.
First off, I separated Janis Joplin and Alejandro. I put a cool Colorado guitar pick in Alejandro’s pot.. he was getting big and I think he needed the pot to himself. Janis is now in a ceramic pot I made and glazed myself!

Next, I found out that the hairy bittercress in my “love, persisting” terrarium isn’t a bittercress at all. It’s a pink arrowhead plant!!

I also took out the lucky bamboo in that terrarium since it was getting too big, and I put it in a fun jar.
And now… here’s the new plants! I found some pots and decided to fill them with new friends. All of them don’t have names yet but I’m thinking of some.

I was on the hunt for a Chinese money plant (the small one with round leaves) and put it in a little green pot with some dried rose petals on top for decoration. I wanted one since my old roommate at my last house showed me hers.
I was also looking for a snake plant (tall one on the left) because they’re notoriously hard to kill, and I’m still a beginner-to-moderate skilled plant owner. It’s been on my bucket list of plants for a while. I really love the pot it’s in, it’s very pretty.
Finally I have another prayer plant!! This one is similar to Marilyn but bigger and without stripes. The pot it’s in is chipped but I LOVE the colors.
